"Daddy Long Legs" was quite familiar to me. It was the name of the man who supports a girl named Judy Abbot. I learned this from an animated tv series entitled "Judy" being shown here in my country a few years ago. Is the name of the girl in this book also "Judy". I'll try to look for a copy here.
